Denise Drummond  -  drawings and paintings

Denise began her love affair with nature at an early age while growing up in the woodlands of Northwestern Pennsylvania. She began drawing animals and nature scenes at age two and started selling her artwork as a teenager. Denise has been a freelance artist since 1980 and works in graphite and watercolor to create nature scenes - with a special love for our national parks and wilderness areas. A self-taught landscape and portrait artist, Denise's work has been shown and collected worldwide.

Many roadtrips to parks all across the country and back, have inspired most of Denise's artwork, and the love of traveling and the lure of mountain places led her to spend 3 summers in Glacier National Park where she began a series of national park drawings.

Placing 5 times in Arts for the Parks top 100, and mini 100, Denise's park drawings and paintings have toured the country to museums and galleries with the top 100 traveling shows, to be sold to art collectors from around the world.

After living in South Georgia and Western North Carolina, Denise moved back to her home state, Pennsylvania, where she currently creates many works inspired by The Allegheny National Forest,  PA and NY State Parks, as well as keeping up with visiting and creating art from wild areas all over the country.  She also has had an on-going portrait business for years, drawing people, homes, pets, etc.
